   What is rush?
Rush is an opportunity for CU students to have a good time and to become aquanted with AEPi. Everyone is invited to join us in our festivities, and many people come just to have fun. There also are a group of people interested in learning about life with AEPi; these people make an extra effort to attend rush events and to spend time talking with brothers. Oftentimes a person will not initially have the intention of rushing a fraternity but will enjoy the events so much that their interest begins to grow. So there is no need to attend a rush event with the intention of eventually receiving a bid, but be forewarned: our brotherhood is temptingly fun.

   Why AEPi?
The Chi Upsilon Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity at the Univerisity of Colorado in Boulder was recently re-established in 2002. Through both social and community service events, Chi Upsilon has established itself as a large part of Hillel and the Jewish life at CU. Brotherhood is the core of any fraternity, especially AEPi. When we talk about recruiting new members, we often use the phrase "turning friends into brothers," but brotherhood is much more than simple friendship. It is an opportunity to develop: maturity, sound judgment, business skills, compassion, leadership abilities, and friendships that last a lifetime. College is quite possibly most famous for its active social scene and amazing parties. Indeed, no college experience is complete without parties and activities outside of class. We believe that social activities are integral to a strong brotherhood, and so we organize events on a regular basis. Parties, Jewish holidays, Shabbat, outdoor adventure, and sports, give us the chance to relax and have a great time. The fraternity provides a very supportive environment for academics. The diverse group of bothers we have means someone probably has experience in your major. The academic committee organizes events such as group study in the library and helps make sure our brothers are successful. AEPi is an all-Jewish fraternity and provides an experience unlike any other. The fraternity is committed to developing Jewish leaders of the future. Tomorrow's Jewish leaders are in our chapters today. It is these young men that must be counted upon to support Jewish cause worldwide. A large part of AEPi's role is to encourage the Jewish student to remain dedicated to Jewish ideals, values, and ethics, and to prepare the student to be one of tomorrow's leaders, so that he may help himself, his family, his community, and his people. Rushing Alpha Epsilon Pi only involves meeting the brothers. If you?e interested in rushing, or know someone who might be, please contact us. Be sure to check the calendar for scheduled Rush events. For more information on rush, our fraternity, or if you are interested in visiting campus with an AEPi member, please contact Jonathan Provisor or any other brother.
